Central Ashaninka del Rio Ene (CARE)
Central Ashaninka del Rio Ene (CARE) is the main indigenous federation in Peru's Rio Ene Valley and has been an RFUK partner since 2008.

The Rainforest Foundation UK has worked with the Ashaninka communities and their representative federation, Central Ashaninka del Rio Ene (CARE) since 2008. CARE is the main indigenous federation in the Rio Ene Valley, a geographical area that falls into three administrative areas: the Municipalities of Rio Tambo, Mazamari and Pangoa. CARE is structured as a federation representing 17 Asháninka communities, each with their communal land titles, and 33 annexes who will directly benefit from the project. CARE is associated to ARPI (Asociación Regional de Pueblos Indígenas de la Selva Central) and AIDESEP (Asociación Interétnica de Desarrollo de la Selva Peruana).
