Rainforest Runners

Name: Jo Sampson

I like to be called: Jo

Age: 26

Home town: London

Before I train I like to...

I train this many days a week: 5

And for this many hours:

My PB for this event is:

I hope I can make it in: 4hrs 10mins

After I train I like to...

The music that gets me motivated is...

I have playlists of ‘inspirational' music (mainly Girls Aloud and Electro-Swing) but every now and then can be found listening to a Radio 4 podcast to keep the brain active.

Mr breakfast of champions consists of...

A fruit smoothie - made with more ice cream than is strictly necessary - and scrambled eggs on toast. Champion.

I love to run, but what I love more is...

If I could run anywhere I'd like to run...

Along a deserted beach with the sea lapping at my feet - nice though it is, the Thames embankment doesn't quite have the same effect...

My hot tip for runners is...

Running for the Rainforest is important to me because...

It's really important to empower local people to protect their rainforests and ensure that the value of this natural, economic and cultural resource is recognised and factored in to decisions made about development, for the benefit of the local AND global community. This is why I want to raise AS MUCH MONEY AS I CAN!

After I run the Marathon this year I will be...

Hopefully going out to lunch with a loyal band of supporters!

If you want to sponsor me my JustGiving page is:
