The Rainforests are home to some of the most exciting and strange animals, birds and plants in the whole world. There are millions of different species, many which have never been seen or named!

If you imagine that the earth wears a belt around its fattest part then this is where most of the rainforests are to be found. It is called the EQUATOR.

Rainforests play a very important role in making sure that all the people on the earth have oxygen to breath, and help to manage things in the natural world such as rain and soil so that we can grow crops.
