Trail 7 - Daily Life in the Rainforest

Rainforest people hold traditional ceremonies, dance, sing, play musical instruments such as flutes or drums, bathe, and have wrestling matches to enjoy themselves.

Children spend their time helping out in the garden, weaving or hunting.

Most children are taught how to cook, hunt and to make crafts at home.

Some go to government schools to learn maths, history, or languages. If they are lucky, the school classes will be taught in their own language.

"This is the end of the tour of my home" says Mirim. "I hope you have enjoyed learning about where we live. Unfortunately, our home and many others in the rainforests around the world are in danger of being destroyed.
