The Kisêdjê people live in the Xingu territory in the heart of Brazil. Today they are only around 350 people remaining. Songs are important to them. They used to place a plate in their lower lip to make the singing more beautiful. Chief Raoni, who travelled the world with Sting in 1989, is well remembered for the plate in his lip.
