Recycling for Rainforests!
The Rainforest Foundation UK has teamed up with The Recycling factory to turn your unwanted gadgets and ink cartridges into Rainforest Foundation UK donations!
Recycle your gadgets, or better still, set up a recycling collection point at your place of work, school or community group. To set up a recycling collection at no cost to you please email Kirstie here.
Mobile Phones, satellite navigation units, MP3 players, digital cameras & handheld games consoles
There are approximately 90 million mobile phones sat in drawers around the country that could raise hundreds if not millions of pounds for charities like the Rainforest Foundation UK.
To donate your phone or gadget to our recycling appeal and raise vital funds for the Rainforest Foundation UK please print the barcode and address label here and send it by freepost in an envelope or request some freepost envelopes here.
Mobile phones contain numerous substances, which need to be disposed of in safe and efficient manner, so even if your phone is damaged or broken we can ensure that it is disposed of safely.
Ink Cartridges
Many ink cartridges can be used more than once. Our partners at The Recycling Factory have designed processes and manufactured equipment to clean and refill used ink cartridges that are returned and will make a donation to The Rainforest Foundation for any that are successfully re-used.
Any cartridges that are unusable or damaged are then broken down and the plastics and metals that are recovered are recycled – not sent to landfill. A complete list of all the ink cartridges that can be successfully recycled click here.
To donate your phone, gadget or ink cartridges to our recycling appeal please print the barcode and address label here and send freepost in an envelope. Alternatively pop us an email and we can send you some freepost envelopes.
Unfortunately, due to the technology, we cannot recycle the majority of ink tanks manufactured by Epson and Canon.
