...to provide a GPS unit for a community!

Help us to buy a GPS (Global Positioning System) unit which can be used by an indigenous community to produce accurate maps that can help them gain recognition of their land rights.

Geo-referenced maps are the essential first step towards protecting forests for future generations.

To counter the imminent threat of logging in the Congo basin, the Rainforest Foundation is working with Congolese communities to map their lands and strengthen their cases against logging companies. The Congo basin is home of the second largest rainforest on the planet after the Amazon. Click here to find out more about Territorial Mapping

Choose to donate a GPS to an indigenous community and we’ll send you a mapping information pack, together with a special personalised acknowledgment of your donation (made out to the person of your choice).
