In addition to practical field projects, the Rainforest Foundation undertakes policy research, analysis and advocacy programmes.
These aim to address some of the underlying causes of abuse of forest peoples' rights and destruction of the forests.
Our advocacy work aims to bring about improvements to policies, laws, standards and practices at the national and international level such that the rights of rainforest people are better respected and protected.
We aim to support civil society organisations in tropical countries to develop their capacity to run their own advocacy programmes.
