At RFUK, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency. Our Whistleblowing Policy ensures that anyone, including staff, partners, and stakeholders, can raise concerns about serious misconduct without fear of reprisals.

What can be reported?

You can report any serious concerns related to wrongdoing, ethical violations, or illegal activities within the organisation, such as:

  • Financial misconduct (e.g., bribery, fraud)
  • Legal non-compliance
  • Health and safety dangers
  • Environmental damage
  • Criminal activities

How to raise a concern

Confidentiality and investigation
All reports are treated confidentially and will be thoroughly investigated. We aim to respond within 72 hours.

Submission recipients
*Please note: both the form and email submissions to whistleblowing@rainforestuk.org will be received by the following individuals at RFUK:

  • Head of Operations and Compliance
  • Head of Finance
  • Head of Programmes

Additionally, your submission will be automatically forwarded to two members of the Board of Trustees:

  • Chair of the Finance, Risk and Compliance Committee
  • Safeguarding Trustee

This ensures that your complaint is escalated to the highest level, allowing Trustees to monitor the executive response.

If your complaint involves any of the aforementioned staff members or Trustees, please consider the “Other Options” under section 4.
