Los enfoques convencionales para monitorear y abordar la deforestaci\u00f3n ilegal no siempre llegan al meollo del problema. Las autoridades forestales carecen de los medios para supervisar y controlar la extracci\u00f3n de recursos, mientras que muchos programas independientes de monitoreo forestal dependen de costosas e ineficientes misiones de campo realizadas por ONGs internacionales o nacionales. Los avances en la observaci\u00f3n por sat\u00e9lite han transformado nuestra capacidad para detectar la p\u00e9rdida de bosques, pero es posible que no nos muestren qu\u00e9 es lo que la est\u00e1 causando.<\/p>\n<p>Al involucrar a las comunidades en la lucha contra la tala ilegal, este programa busca fortalecer su participaci\u00f3n en la gesti\u00f3n forestal utilizando nuestra innovadora tecnolog\u00eda ForestLink.
