El 28 de abril<sup>th<\/sup>Los corredores vendr\u00e1n de todo el mundo para competir en el reto de su vida. La Rainforest Foundation UK se enorgullece de contar este a\u00f1o con 8 corredores que recaudan fondos para nosotros. Para ayudarles en su viaje, hemos pedido a algunos de nuestros anteriores corredores que nos den sus propios consejos y reflexiones. Esto es lo que nos han dicho:<\/p>\n\t\t<h3>James<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>Mi principal consejo es que entrenes, y que empieces con mucha antelaci\u00f3n, no como cuando yo empec\u00e9 a mediados de febrero.<\/li>\n<li>No lleves ning\u00fan equipo superfluo, como auriculares, si s\u00f3lo vas a tener que apagarlos y llevarlos en la mano durante horas, cuando en lugar de eso puedes limitarte a escuchar al p\u00fablico. El p\u00fablico era muy bueno. Estoy seguro de que no lo habr\u00eda conseguido de no ser por un mont\u00f3n de gente que repart\u00eda gominolas y agua.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a1Y disfr\u00fatalo! Hac\u00eda calor, era duro, estaba dolorido. Pero una vez que cruzas la l\u00ednea de meta, todo merece la pena. Recuerdo que en el kil\u00f3metro 22 pens\u00e9: \"Voy a conseguirlo\",\u00a0<em>y<\/em>\u00a0Estoy recaudando mucho dinero para una buena causa\".<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rainforestfoundationuk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/ac867a26-d8ae-45b2-991d-d3d2d6d88952.png\" alt=\"ac867a26-d8ae-45b2-991d-d3d2d6d88952\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"271\" width=\"300\" title=\"ac867a26-d8ae-45b2-991d-d3d2d6d88952\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\t<h3>Maud<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>T\u00f3mate en serio el riesgo de lesionarte durante el entrenamiento Yo cre\u00eda que era casi invencible, pero me lesion\u00e9 durante los entrenamientos hasta el punto de que no estaba segura de llegar a tiempo. Todo lo que se dice en los planes de entrenamiento es cierto: sigue tu plan tanto como puedas, no te excedas, incluye algunos ejercicios de entrenamiento cruzado y de fortalecimiento, alim\u00e9ntate adecuadamente y estira, \u00a1mucho!<\/li>\n<li>Recuerda disfrutar del gran d\u00eda. La gente gritar\u00e1 tu nombre, los ni\u00f1os te chocar\u00e1n las manos, las abuelas te dar\u00e1n agua y la adrenalina te har\u00e1 sentir que vuelas. A m\u00ed se me hizo muy duro en torno a los 18 kil\u00f3metros. Pero al final merece la pena.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rainforestfoundationuk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/4eb4969f-c8a8-4649-b060-3231659717d3.png\" alt=\"4eb4969f-c8a8-4649-b060-3231659717d3\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"271\" width=\"300\" title=\"4eb4969f-c8a8-4649-b060-3231659717d3\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\t<h3>Dan<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>Repostar. Siempre me levantaba, sal\u00eda a correr a primera hora de la ma\u00f1ana y desayunaba al llegar a casa, porque nunca me gust\u00f3 la idea de correr con comida en la barriga. Y eso est\u00e1 bien para las carreras cortas de 20\/30 minutos, pero una vez que empiezas con las carreras m\u00e1s largas, es una verdadera lucha. Lee todo lo que puedas sobre los alimentos clave que necesitas para correr largas distancias. Yo empec\u00e9 a tomar geles energ\u00e9ticos en las carreras unas seis semanas antes de la carrera para empezar a planificar cu\u00e1ndo es mejor tomarlos y c\u00f3mo aprovecharlos al m\u00e1ximo.<\/li>\n<li>Asim\u00edlalo todo. La carrera en s\u00ed es dura, eso es innegable. Pero tambi\u00e9n es una experiencia \u00fanica en la vida. El ruido de miles de personas al azar anim\u00e1ndote y empuj\u00e1ndote a cada paso es estremecedoramente irreal y realmente tienes que aprovechar al m\u00e1ximo toda la experiencia.
