Durante esta \u00faltima visita, se entregaron oficialmente kits de RTM a observadores de la comunidad local, poniendo literalmente en sus manos el poder de proteger la selva tropical.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rainforestfoundationuk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/ae7522ae-0ef3-4e12-8847-23bf1b13480f.jpg\" alt=\"Foto | RTM kit comunitario\" itemprop=\"image\" title=\"ae7522ae-0ef3-4e12-8847-23bf1b13480f\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\tFoto | RTM kit comunitario\n\t<blockquote><p>\"El seguimiento en tiempo real era algo inaudito en nuestro pueblo\", afirma un jefe local. \"Cuando o\u00edmos hablar de esta tecnolog\u00eda, me sent\u00ed un poco esc\u00e9ptico, sobre todo porque muchas ONG nos presentan proyectos impresionantes que nunca llegan a ejecutarse. Pero esto es diferente. Se ha hecho realidad y conf\u00edo en que los j\u00f3venes de nuestro pueblo utilicen estas nuevas tecnolog\u00edas para el bien de la comunidad.\"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de asistencia t\u00e9cnica, las comunidades locales recibieron formaci\u00f3n en defensa de sus derechos legales y consuetudinarios.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"No puedes reclamar el derecho a algo cuando ni siquiera sabes cu\u00e1les son tus derechos. Este proyecto nos ha ense\u00f1ado la ley, y ahora nos sentimos respaldados para hacer valer nuestros derechos\".<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>explic\u00f3 un l\u00edder comunitario, Theo.<\/p>\n<p>Nuestro sistema ForestLink est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para ayudar a la poblaci\u00f3n local de los bosques a alertar a las autoridades sobre actividades ilegales y prevenir la deforestaci\u00f3n en sus tierras.
