{"id":2385,"date":"2016-04-26T00:00:38","date_gmt":"2016-04-26T00:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rainforestfoundationuk.org\/?p=2385"},"modified":"2022-07-19T15:48:30","modified_gmt":"2022-07-19T15:48:30","slug":"otro-indulto-para-los-bosques-de-la-drac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rainforestfoundationuk.org\/es\/another-reprieve-for-drcs-forests\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00a1Otro indulto para los bosques de la RDC!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>por Simon Counsell, Director Ejecutivo, RFUK<\/p>\n<p>Desde hace 13 a\u00f1os, el gobierno de la Rep\u00fablica Democr\u00e1tica del Congo tiene en vigor una ley que proh\u00edbe la entrega de m\u00e1s zonas de selva tropical a empresas madereras comerciales a gran escala. Aunque la ley fue ampliamente incumplida durante los primeros a\u00f1os, en general se ha respetado desde 2007, cuando el Presidente del pa\u00eds, Joseph Kabila, promulg\u00f3 un nuevo decreto bajo su autoridad.  Esta ley ha sido probablemente una de las m\u00e1s importantes a la hora de frenar los da\u00f1os y la destrucci\u00f3n de los bosques tropicales. Ha contribuido a mantener una superficie forestal del tama\u00f1o de Francia libre del da\u00f1o gratuito a gran escala causado por las empresas madereras industriales.<\/p>\n<p>Pero en enero de este a\u00f1o, el Ministro de Medio Ambiente de la RDC, Robert Bogeza, caus\u00f3 conmoci\u00f3n al anunciar la intenci\u00f3n de su gobierno de levantar la moratoria sobre nuevas operaciones de tala. En colaboraci\u00f3n con otras organizaciones internacionales como Greenpeace y Global Witness, as\u00ed como con los principales grupos de la propia RDC, nos movilizamos r\u00e1pidamente para alertar a los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n y a los defensores internacionales de la protecci\u00f3n de los bosques del peligro que supon\u00eda este anuncio. Como resultado, varios gobiernos plantearon su preocupaci\u00f3n a las autoridades congole\u00f1as, incluida la Ministra de Medio Ambiente de Francia, S\u00e9gol\u00e8ne Royal, en una reuni\u00f3n con el Presidente de la RDC, Joseph Kabila.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rainforestfoundationuk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/0dfda0f4-d3d3-4c09-b7c8-35c9f160f55f.jpg\" alt=\"0dfda0f4-d3d3-4c09-b7c8-35c9f160f55f\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"877\" width=\"1200\" title=\"0dfda0f4-d3d3-4c09-b7c8-35c9f160f55f\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t<p>Poco despu\u00e9s, el Ministro inform\u00f3 de que el anuncio hab\u00eda sido un \"error\", y que en realidad no ten\u00eda previsto levantar la moratoria. Al menos por el momento, el grave peligro que corren los bosques de la RDC ha remitido.<\/p>\n<p>La reciente fue la tercera o cuarta vez en 13 a\u00f1os que se ha amenazado con levantar la moratoria a la tala en la RDC y abrir las compuertas de la destrucci\u00f3n en los bosques del pa\u00eds. Cada vez hemos respondido, y hemos sido eficaces, y el gobierno del Congo ha tomado la decisi\u00f3n correcta.
