{"id":2596,"date":"2014-04-08T00:00:15","date_gmt":"2014-04-08T00:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rainforestfoundationuk.org\/?p=2596"},"modified":"2022-07-19T15:48:32","modified_gmt":"2022-07-19T15:48:32","slug":"la-rfuk-se-opone-al-levantamiento-previsto-de-la-moratoria-sobre-la-tala-en-la-rdc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rainforestfoundationuk.org\/es\/rfuk-opposes-planned-lifting-of-logging-moratorium-in-the-drc\/","title":{"rendered":"RFUK se opone al levantamiento previsto de la moratoria sobre la tala de \u00e1rboles en la RDC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK) se ha unido a otras ONG internacionales para oponerse al inminente levantamiento de la moratoria sobre la adjudicaci\u00f3n de nuevas concesiones de tala industrial en la Rep\u00fablica Democr\u00e1tica del Congo (RDC).<\/p>\n<p>Un comunicado conjunto de RFUK, Greenpeace Internacional, Global Witness y otras organizaciones publicado ayer, lunes 7 de abril, afirma que el levantamiento de la moratoria, en vigor desde 2008, \"ser\u00eda una burla\" para los planes previstos por la RDC de beneficiarse de la financiaci\u00f3n para la protecci\u00f3n de los bosques en el marco de los programas de prevenci\u00f3n del cambio clim\u00e1tico (conocidos como \"REDD\")\". <\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n socavar\u00eda el prop\u00f3sito de un ejercicio nacional de cartografiar y zonificar los bosques para diferentes usos, para el que ya se han comprometido importantes fondos internacionales. <\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el comunicado, no se han cumplido las condiciones para levantar la moratoria, establecidas en un decreto legal firmado por el Presidente de la RDC, Joseph Kabila. La mayor\u00eda de las concesiones madereras industriales siguen sin tener planes de gesti\u00f3n forestal acordados ni contratos sociales con las comunidades afectadas. Tras doce a\u00f1os de la llamada \"reforma forestal\", a\u00fan no se ha aprobado el decreto que regula la asignaci\u00f3n y gesti\u00f3n de los bosques comunitarios, lo que niega a las comunidades el derecho a gestionar por s\u00ed mismas sus bosques ancestrales.<\/p>\n<p>El llamamiento al gobierno de la RDC para que restablezca su intenci\u00f3n de mantener la moratoria se produce despu\u00e9s de que el Real Instituto de Asuntos Internacionales (Chatham House) publicara un nuevo estudio que demuestra que casi toda la tala actual en la RDC es ilegal.
