Elle permet aux communaut\u00e9s locales d\u2019attester de leur pr\u00e9sence et de leur utilisation de la for\u00eat et aux gouvernements et au secteur priv\u00e9 de prendre en compte et de reconna\u00eetre cette pr\u00e9sence. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, ces groupes ne d\u00e9tiennent pas de droits formels sur les zones qu'ils habitent et prot\u00e8gent depuis des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, et sont largement exclus des d\u00e9cisions concernant les for\u00eats dont ils d\u00e9pendent. En cons\u00e9quence, nombre d\u2019entre eux vivent comme des \u00ab\u2009squatters\u2009\u00bb sur leurs propres terres dans des conditions d\u00e9plorables, en bordure des concessions foresti\u00e8res et des zones strictement prot\u00e9g\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Cette marginalisation s'explique souvent par le manque d'informations fiables et transparentes sur l\u2019utilisation, la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 et l\u2019occupation des for\u00eats par ces communaut\u00e9s, ainsi que sur les menaces auxquelles elles sont confront\u00e9es. MappingForRights vise \u00e0 changer cette situation en pla\u00e7ant sur la carte les communaut\u00e9s foresti\u00e8res qui resteraient autrement \u00ab\u2009invisibles\u2009\u00bb.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tCe que nous faisons\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<ul>\n<li>Nous permettons aux communaut\u00e9s de cartographier leurs terres gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des technologies peu co\u00fbteuses et transf\u00e9rables, et \u00e0 une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mappingforrights.org\/resource\/mfr-methodology\/\">m\u00e9thodologie de cartographie participative<\/a> d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e sur la base de 20\u202fann\u00e9es d\u2019exp\u00e9rience de terrain. Les donn\u00e9es g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es sont mises \u00e0 la disposition d\u2019utilisateurs autoris\u00e9s dans l'outil interactif en ligne <a href=\"https:\/\/cbca.mappingforrights.org\/\">Atlas communautaire du Bassin du Congo,<\/a> o\u00f9 elles peuvent \u00eatre analys\u00e9es en articulation avec d\u2019autres utilisations de la for\u00eat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Les cartes communautaires ont fortement contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 promouvoir les droits des communaut\u00e9s locales dans le cadre des r\u00e9formes fonci\u00e8res, de la gestion des zones prot\u00e9g\u00e9es et des programmes REDD+, ainsi que dans la cr\u00e9ation de for\u00eats communautaires.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>En plus d\u2019assurer aux communaut\u00e9s la s\u00e9curisation juridique de leurs terres, le programme leur fournit \u00e9galement un ensemble d'outils et de m\u00e9thodes de d\u00e9veloppement et de mise en \u0153uvre de plans d'utilisation durable des terres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t<a
