Le pays abrite environ cinq millions d'autochtones repr\u00e9sentant 55 ethnies distinctes et parlant 48 langues. Environ un quart de l'Amazonie p\u00e9ruvienne appartient \u00e0 des communaut\u00e9s indig\u00e8nes et au moins 20 de ces peuples continuent de vivre dans un isolement volontaire.<\/p>\n<p>Les principales causes de la conversion et de la fragmentation des for\u00eats sont l'agriculture commerciale, l'\u00e9levage du b\u00e9tail, l'exploitation foresti\u00e8re ill\u00e9gale, l'exploitation mini\u00e8re et la production de drogue, tandis qu'un r\u00e9seau routier de plus en plus \u00e9tendu donne acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des zones foresti\u00e8res auparavant isol\u00e9es. Environ un tiers de l'Amazonie p\u00e9ruvienne est couvert par des concessions p\u00e9troli\u00e8res et gazi\u00e8res, y compris des concessions attribu\u00e9es sur des terres titr\u00e9es et des zones prot\u00e9g\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 ces difficult\u00e9s, il existe de nombreuses raisons d'esp\u00e9rer. Le mouvement autochtone au P\u00e9rou est fort et bien organis\u00e9 et a fait ses preuves en mati\u00e8re d'activisme intr\u00e9pide. La surveillance des for\u00eats par les autochtones a \u00e9galement une longue tradition dans le pays et a permis de d\u00e9noncer des activit\u00e9s ill\u00e9gales, de lutter contre la destruction des for\u00eats et de d\u00e9fendre les droits. Les riches for\u00eats du pays offrent une myriade de possibilit\u00e9s de subsistance qui, avec le soutien ad\u00e9quat, pourraient r\u00e9duire la pauvret\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re durable et intelligente sur le plan climatique.<\/p>\n\t<div class=\"map_wrapper\" id=\"map_wrapper_7685\">\n<div class=\"map_box\" style=\"max-width:400px\">\n<div class=\"map_aspect_ratio\" style=\"padding-top:100%\" data-padding-top=\"100%\" data-padding-top-mobile=\"100%\">\n<div class=\"map_container\">\n<div class=\"map_render map_loading\" id=\"map_7685\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>\n\t\tNos impacts\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<ul>\n<li>Apr\u00e8s avoir aid\u00e9 les Ash\u00e1ninka \u00e0 obtenir des titres de propri\u00e9t\u00e9 sur leurs terres dans la vall\u00e9e de la rivi\u00e8re Ene, nous travaillons avec l'organisation indig\u00e8ne repr\u00e9sentative <a href=\"https:\/\/careashaninka.org\/\">CARE<\/a> afin d'ouvrir la voie \u00e0 des moyens de subsistance durables dans la r\u00e9gion. L'association des producteurs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kemitoene.com\/\">Kemito Ene<\/a> a re\u00e7u le prestigieux prix \u00c9quateur des Nations unies en 2019 pour son travail visant \u00e0 accro\u00eetre les rendements de cacao respectueux des for\u00eats et \u00e0 augmenter les revenus de centaines de familles.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Nous avons soutenu le peuple Ash\u00e1ninka et CARE dans le cadre d\u2019une campagne de grande envergure contre le barrage de Pakitzapango et d'autres projets d\u2019infrastructure qui mena\u00e7aient de d\u00e9truire des dizaines de milliers d'hectares de for\u00eat tropicale et de d\u00e9raciner les communaut\u00e9s indig\u00e8nes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00c0 travers l'organisation autochtone FENAMAD, notre syst\u00e8me ForestLink est utilis\u00e9 par les peuples autochtones de la r\u00e9gion de Madre de Dios, qui abrite une riche biodiversit\u00e9, pour d\u00e9fendre leurs territoires contre l'exploitation foresti\u00e8re et mini\u00e8re ill\u00e9gale.
