C\u2019est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment la question \u00e0 laquelle nous et nos partenaires tentons de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 travers notre\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rainforestfoundationuk.org\/fr\/communityforests\/\">For\u00eats communautaires<\/a>\u00a0, financ\u00e9 par le D\u00e9partement britannique pour le d\u00e9veloppement international (DfID).<\/p>\r\n<p>En f\u00e9vrier 2016, le gouvernement de la RDC a adopt\u00e9 une l\u00e9gislation importante en mati\u00e8re de foresterie communautaire, cr\u00e9ant une opportunit\u00e9 sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent pour les communaut\u00e9s locales et les peuples autochtones de g\u00e9rer leurs for\u00eats durablement. Tirant parti de cette chance unique, la Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK) et ses partenaires congolais travaillent actuellement avec des communaut\u00e9s locales de la province de l\u2019Equateur pour mettre en place des pilotes de for\u00eats communautaires sur le terrain.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rainforestfoundationuk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/03ac5c4b-18a3-4412-854b-aeb2cd548e2c.jpg\" alt=\"03ac5c4b-18a3-4412-854b-aeb2cd548e2c\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"345\" width=\"700\" title=\"03ac5c4b-18a3-4412-854b-aeb2cd548e2c\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\r\n\t<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir explor\u00e9 40 sites potentiels dans l\u2019ouest de la RDC lord d\u2019une premi\u00e8re mission d\u2019\u00e9valuation, nous avons d\u00e9sormais identifi\u00e9 six sites pilotes potentiels r\u00e9partis dans la province \u2013 davantage de sites seront s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s plus tard dans l\u2019ann\u00e9e. Alors que les communaut\u00e9s locales re\u00e7oivent le soutien de la RFUK et de nos partenaires congolais dans le d\u00e9veloppement de leurs concessions, elles \u00e9tablissent elles-m\u00eames leurs priorit\u00e9s et forgent leur propre avenir.<\/p>\r\n<p><em>\"Ce qui est tr\u00e8s important pour nous, c'est que ces concessions foresti\u00e8res communautaires doivent \u00eatre d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es par et pour les populations locales et indig\u00e8nes, et non pas impos\u00e9es par des forces ext\u00e9rieures\".<\/em>\u00a0a d\u00e9clar\u00e9\u00a0<strong>Blaise Mudodosi<\/strong>, Charg\u00e9 de plaidoyer avec R\u00e9seau Ressources Naturelles (RRN).<\/p>\r\n<p>Les sites ont \u00e9t\u00e9 choisis en grande partie pour leur diversit\u00e9. Leur superficie va de 1 000 \u00e0 30 000 hectares (la limite maximale \u00e9tant de 50 000 hectares), et leur population s\u2019\u00e9tend de 600 \u00e0 10 000 habitants. Certaines communaut\u00e9s sont compos\u00e9es d\u2019un seul groupe ethnique alors que d\u2019autres sont pluriethniques. Certaines sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9s viennent impacter consid\u00e9rablement la mani\u00e8re dont la for\u00eat communautaire va \u00eatre d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e. Par exemple, beaucoup de communaut\u00e9s sont dans l\u2019incapacit\u00e9 de mettre leurs produits sur le march\u00e9, souffrent d\u2019un manque d\u2019infrastructures locales, ou ne peuvent tout simplement pas acc\u00e9der \u00e0 des cr\u00e9dits pour investir dans leurs entreprises.  D\u2019autres communaut\u00e9s que nous avons approch\u00e9es ont exprim\u00e9 leur souhait de mieux s\u2019organiser pour exploiter de nouvelles sources de revenu respectueuses de l\u2019environnement, comme la production de cacao.<\/p>\r\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em>&#8220;<em>Ces sites pilotes se trouvent dans des for\u00eats extr\u00eamement pr\u00e9cieuses, tant sur le plan \u00e9cologique que pour les personnes qui y vivent\".\u00a0<\/em>a d\u00e9clar\u00e9\u00a0<strong>Colin Robertson<\/strong>\u00a0Coordinateur RDC \u00e0 RFUK.<em>\u00a0\"La RDC abritant la deuxi\u00e8me plus grande for\u00eat tropicale du monde, les for\u00eats communautaires ont un grand potentiel pour b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier \u00e0 ces habitants de la for\u00eat souvent marginalis\u00e9s.<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p>Chaque for\u00eat communautaire que nous soutenons sera unique en son genre. Cette diversit\u00e9 vient complexifier le processus de mise en place de la foresterie communautaire, mais c\u2019est l\u00e0 \u00e9galement une des forces principales du projet \u2013 on met ainsi en \u00e9vidence le fait qu\u2019il n\u2019y a pas qu\u2019une seule \u2018bonne\u2019 fa\u00e7on de concevoir une for\u00eat communautaire, mais bien plusieurs.
