Madeleine, Head of Programmes for RFUK, is driven by the belief that all people should be able to live in a safe and dignified environment, with full access to their freedoms and rights. Madeleine joined RFUK to support rainforest dwelling communities in their efforts to protect and preserve their land and livelihoods. Prior to RFUK, Madeleine was a humanitarian aid worker with IOM, MSF and other agencies for over 12 years, with roles in Congo DRC, South Sudan, Iraq, Yemen, Mexico and Jordan. She holds a Masters in International Humanitarian Action and a Joint Masters Degree in Spanish and English Literature.
