Community Forests Specialist – full time (35-hour working week)

As part of a team of four staff, the Community Forests Specialist will participate in the implementation of the DFID-funded Consortium-based Community Forests project, providing permanent support to the RFUK DRC Programme team as well as to all consortium partner organisations.

CALL FOR TENDERS - Legal and Institutional Capacity Building Consultancy
The aim of the DRC Community Forests project is to improve livelihoods and reduce deforestation in DRC by establishing successful community-based forest management. Key to achieving this aim is to ensure that legal and policy frameworks on community forests in DRC are finalised and the legal and institutional capacity of the DRC national, provincial and local government are strengthened in order to successfully implement, monitor and administer community forests. Consultants or a team of consultants will be contracted by RFUK to implement and support this work.

Consultancy proposals should include:
- Team structure (if more than one consultant)
- CV (s) and proven records of delivered trainings /capacity building tools development/research publications
- An indicative work plan according to expected outputs and provided timeframe
- An indicative methodology the consultant(s)would use
- Indicative outline budget
